Tea and biscuits revival at Tesco
Tesco is this week giving away free tea and biscuits at 252 stores across the UK. Packets of Tetley tea and Maryland cookies will be given away to customers who spend £30 or more, while stocks last. Larger stores across the country are taking part. Tesco claims the move is a bid to revitalise the 200-year-old tradition of the Great British tea break, which has been eclipsed by the rise of coffee culture over the past 10 years.
